New paper on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS & AI) added
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, the organizing body of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), has announced that a new paper on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS & AI) will be added to the GATE 2024 syllabus. This is the first time that a paper on DS & AI has been included in the GATE syllabus.
The new paper will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- Deep Learning
- Natural Language Processing
- Computer Vision
- Data Mining
- Data Warehousing
- Big Data Analytics
The paper will be of 3 hours duration and will carry 100 marks. It will be a compulsory paper for all candidates appearing for the GATE 2024 examination.
The inclusion of a paper on DS & AI in the GATE syllabus is a significant development. It reflects the growing importance of these fields in the engineering and technology industry. The paper is expected to attract a large number of candidates, particularly those who are interested in pursuing a career in data science or artificial intelligence.
The GATE 2024 examination will be held on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2024. The application process for the examination will begin on October 1, 2023.
